USER RESEARCH, TREND REPORTS and OTHERS

One of the main new features of the design thinking journey I introduced to Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has been a more prominent role for User Research. So far we have performed User Research study with as few as 5 customer sand as many as 40, collecting hours of interviews, photographic evidence and film. Each study was then put together and presented to the product and strategic management groups in order to expose the gain and transformative possibilities that could turn into products or services. These studies were as short as several weeks to as long as a year. User Research is slowly being accepted at HMI as a better way to gain greater customer insight. We have also recently branched out to Trend Reports and other supplemental research.
