PROCESS

Since undertaking our Design journey at Hexagon we found no existing process for embedding the Design into development process. Most of the design was performed by developers and it showed in the quality of the products. In almost no instance was a customer involved nor was there any “design” embedded in the process. After the success of NJB (first project I was involved with) we slowly started making inroads with introduction of UI Design Guidelines and then adding research to just about any project my team worked on. Finally there is a process we are using in most instances to validate the idea, bring customer insight and develop products.
